Task tags
Task tags label tasks for filtering and reporting, organized into tag groups. Create, order, edit and delete groups and tags, and see where each is used.
Reorder tag groups
Sets the order of all tag groups, drafts included; the request must list every group. Requires permission to edit tags. Returns every group in the new order.
List tag groups
Lists active tag groups with their tags, in display order. Requires permission to view tasks; `include_draft=true` adds draft groups and also needs permission to view tags.
Create tag group
Creates a tag group as a draft with no tags; it needs a tag before it can be activated. Requires permission to create tags. Returns the created group.
Delete tag group
Deletes a tag group with all its tags and removes them from every task. Requires permission to delete tags. Returns 204 with no body.
Update tag group
Changes only the fields sent on a tag group. Activation needs at least one tag, and switching to single-select returns 422 while a task holds more than one of its tags. Requires permission to edit tags; returns the updated group.
Reorder tags
Sets the order of every tag in a group; the request must list each of the group's tags exactly once, else 422. Sending the same order again changes nothing. Requires permission to edit tags; returns the group.
Create tag
Adds a tag to a group, deriving its code from the name when no code is sent. Returns the created tag; a code already in the group returns 409. Requires permission to create tags.
Get tag group usage
Returns how many tasks hold at least one tag from this group, counting each task once. Requires permission to view tags.
Delete tag
Deletes a tag and removes it from every task; an active group left with no tags stays active. Requires permission to delete tags. Returns 204 with no body.
Update tag
Changes only the fields sent on a tag: code, name or description; a code already in the group returns 409. A tag cannot move to another group. Requires permission to edit tags; returns the updated tag.
Get tag usage
Returns how many tasks hold this tag. Requires permission to view tags.
