Persona details

A persona is a role an agent can be given when it works on a task, such as Coder or Business analysis. Each persona has a page that describes it. The page only shows information; nothing on it can be changed.

To open it, select Audit in the sidebar, then the Personas tab, then a persona. The page opens beside the list. You need permission to create tasks to open it.

A persona's page: its name and purpose, then the cards What this persona is and How it runs

At the top are the persona's name and a one-line summary of what it's for. The cards below it follow.

What this persona is

FieldMeaning
PersonaThe persona's short name.
Charter keyThe name of the instructions it works under. A note appears when this differs from the persona's name.
Default modelThe model tier it uses when nothing else is set. A choice made for the task wins over it.
Who can dispatch itWhether it can run at all, and whether you can pick it yourself when you create or edit a task, or only the task pipeline uses it.
What it is forThe persona's full purpose, when it's longer than the summary at the top.

How it runs

FieldMeaning
Modebuild: it changes the code and delivers a pull request. analysis: it produces a document or verdict and changes no code.
Autonomy defaultWhether a task on this persona runs without a person by default. Not defaulted means the task's own setting is used.
Does it stop and askWhether it asks questions at its gate, and where you answer them.
Session closeWhether its session closes on its own once the work finishes.

How it delivers, and how it can end

FieldMeaning
Result channelWhat its deliverable is: a merged pull request, a document, or the reported outcome.
Done criterionWhat has to be true before its task is done.
States it can settle fromThe task states from which it may finish.
How it can endEach way it may finish, with what that ending must include.

How it can end, for Coder: a merged pull request, refused without its link, and an ending with nothing merged, refused without a reason and evidence

What it must hand over

The documents it must upload before it can finish. Each is marked:

  • hard — it can't finish until the document is uploaded.
  • advisory — it can finish without it, and the absence is recorded.

Each also lists the file formats accepted. Nothing means it owes no document.

What it must hand over, for Business analysis: a Report and Requirements (PRD), both hard, with their accepted formats

What it may create

Whether it may file new tasks, and of which kinds. Nothing means it can't.

Its role brief

The instructions this persona is given on top of the ones every persona shares, word for word.
