What Jaah is

Jaah runs software work for your team. You describe what you want in plain words, as a task. Jaah hands the task to a runner, an AI agent that works in your project's code, and the result comes back to the task: a merged change, a report, a mockup or an answer.

You stay in charge. You choose how much the runner may decide alone, it stops to ask when it needs you, and every step it takes is recorded on the task.

What you can do with it

  • Hand over a change. Describe a fix or a small feature. A runner makes the change, checks it, and delivers it as a pull request merged into your project.
  • Build something larger. Start an epic. Jaah first pins down the requirements and the design, then splits the work into subtasks and builds them one by one.
  • Ask before you build. Start a chat with an advisor to talk a question through, then turn what you agreed into a task.
  • Research or sketch. Pick the Researcher persona for a written report, or the Sketch size for a quick mockup to look at.
  • Run recurring work on a timer. An Automation Schedule files tasks for you, so routine work happens without anyone starting it.

How the pieces fit

PieceWhat it is
ProjectOne of your repositories. Every task belongs to a project.
TaskOne piece of work and everything that happened while it was done.
PersonaThe kind of expert a runner acts as, such as Coder or Researcher.
PlaybookThe stages a larger piece of work goes through, each run by a persona.
NodeA machine your organization's runners work on.
WorktreeA working copy of a project on a node. Each running task has its own.
CredentialA connection to another service, such as Jira or Slack, that tasks may use.
People and groupsWho is in your organization, and what each person may see and do.

You don't need to set all of these up to start. If your organization already has a project, you can create a task today.

Where to go next

  1. Sign in to the console.
  2. Find your way around: the sidebar, Help and your profile.
  3. Run your first task: create one, start it, and read its result.
